  5. What it does:

  7. This AppleScript sends via e-mail the contents of text files dropped on it. If a PPP connection
  8. is not in place when the Script runs, it will open a connection and then close it when all the 
  9. mail has been sent. If there is already a PPP connection in place when the Script runs, it
  10. will just send the mail dropped on it and leave the PPP connection as if found it. The first
  11. line of you text file e-mail messages must be the recipients full e-mail address followed
  12. by a return. This will not be seen on the recieved message. The first time the Script runs 
  13. or if it is double-clicked, it will prompt you for your complete e-mail address, which it 
  14. will remember for subsequent uses. This Script is designed to work for users with SMTP 
  15. mail hosts with names like "mail.wherever.com". Maybe it will work with other sorts of  
  16. set-ups, I don't know.  Give it a try.

  20. This script as yet has only been tested on my 68K mac with System 7.5.3 and FreePPP 2.5.
  21. It does not seem to work properly with OpenTransport. Use Traditional Networking. In addition to
  22. AppleScript v1.0 or later and Drag and Drop the following Scripting Additions are required:

  24. Late Night Software's MacPPP Control OSAX 
  25. GTQ Programming Suite OSAX
  26. Mango Tree Software's TCP/IP Scripting Additions OSAX
